Albrecht Buschmann

born in 1964 in Saarbrucken. Now professor of Spanish and French literature and culture at the University of Rostock. He previously translated from the Spanish (with Stefanie Gerhold, including works by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán and Max Aub). Won the 2003 translation prize of the Spanish embassy in Germany. Buschmann’s work focuses on literature and violence, detective narratives, historical avant-garde, exile literature, and literary translation.
