The Peter Weiss Foundation for Art and Politics e. V. [PWS], the association that organizes the international literature festival berlin [ilb], deeply regrets the resignation of Ulrich Schreiber. He has launched a world-renowned festival, in 2001, and has led it with great success for 22 years. And for this, we owe him deep gratitude!
The 2023 festival will take place from 6 to 16 September. Italian writer Francesca Melandri is going to give the opening speech. The program will be based on the curatorial plans that were developed by the team and Ulrich Schreiber – with exciting readings and encounters, current topics, and a comprehensive children’s and young adult program.
The PWS will accompany the relaunch by installing a festival manager and finding a new curatorial Director next year for the duration of assured funding until 2025.
