The Norwegian artist Stian Hole (*1969) is one of the most innovative picture book illustrators of our time. For his artistic work he has been awarded the German Children´s Literature Award, the Bologna Ragazzi Award and the Brage Prize, among others. His outstanding works include »Garmann´s Summer«, »Anna´s Heaven« and »Morkel´s Alphabet«. The focus of the workshop discussion with the artist is his poetic aesthetic, which masterfully combines color, texture, and symbolism in profound stories.
