Refugee Futures. Political Challenges and Chances

All over the world, people are fleeing catastrophes, oppression, war, and violence. Lack of legal routes to Europe forces them to take dangerous routes. At the same time, most governments rely on deterrence and pushbacks. Refugee policy expert Gerald Knaus and reporter Mark Isaacs talk to Afghan women’s rights activist and writer Homeira Qaderi about what humane migration and asylum policies might look like and the opportunities they offer.

Hosted by Franziska Grillmeier.

The event is part of “Tage des Exils” and is supported by the Körber-Stiftung.
