In his latest novel, Navid Kermani tells the story of a writer who, at the height of her professional career, experiences a failure in her private life and loses her sense of self. In a unique, highly literary form of novel and journal, essay and meditation, the author, who has been awarded the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade, among other prizes, asks fundamental questions about existence, gender, war, and transience. Actress Eva Mattes, who recorded the audio book, reads excerpts from the novel.
