In twelve eerily beautiful stories, the Bosnian author’s book »Mann im Mond«, translated into German by Rebekka Zeinzinger, tells a story from a child’s perspective about adolescents who are at the mercy of their war-traumatized parents. They experience violence, live in fear, but are by no means defenseless and eventually become perpetrators themselves. »The drama of childhood, as staged by the author, bears universal traits, but it also has its concrete social and political references« (NZZ).
