Opening Speech, Discussion, Reading, Q&A
Moud is a queer teenager from Los Angeles, traveling to Iran for the first time, where he encounters more than a few surprises. Saeed is a student in Tehran, involved in protests against the regime and head over heels in love. And then there’s Bobby, a musical talent and rising actor in Hollywood, whose homosexuality isn’t tolerated by the studios. This coming-of-age story, told with both humor and poignancy, spans two countries and 80 years of family history.
