Bella wants to feel less of everything – less worry about her parents, who have just separated, less grief for her late grandmother, and less pain over losing her great love, Dylan. Alcohol seems to help – sometimes in company, but often in secret. As we enter Bella’s emotional world, we see the destructive pull this widely normalized drug can exert. A sensitive and powerful novel about a teenage girl and her struggle with alcohol addiction.
