Michael is twelve and worries about many things – his mother, for example, who has to work too much. Most of all, though, he is anxious about the approaching turn of the millennium and the ‹Y2K problem.› When he meets Ridge, who is not only unusually fascinated by 1990s culture but also seriously claims to be from the year 2199, everything is thrown into disarray. Can Ridge predict the future, or even change it? A moving and thoughtful plea for living in the here and now.
