It’s Adi’s first trip to Alishan, a mountain in Taiwan that is shrouded in myth and should be in full cherry blossom bloom this time of year. But the branches of the cherry trees are bare, and the animals in the forest are already in despair. A mysterious pouch from Adi’s late grandmother is their only hope to save spring. Inspired by the legends and motifs of the Indigenous Tsuo people, this finely illustrated picture book calls on us to appreciate and protect nature.
