2024 marks the 100th birthday of the African-American writer James Baldwin. His novels, essays and activism have changed world literature and our idea of what it means to be a writer. In this panel, three authors, hosted by Helon Habila, present their favorite works by Baldwin and discuss Baldwin’s legacy for the civil rights movement and for minority rights worldwide.
