Pokko’s parents have given their child a drum. But only in the forest, far away from her parents’ mushroom house, can the frog girl play her drum undisturbed. There, other music-making animals quickly gather around her, until finally even the hungry wolf takes an interest. In luminous illustrations, the picture book, which is »screamingly funny« [SZ] tells of family conflicts and musical self-realization.
The events are part of the ilb special »Spotlight Canada« and take place as part of Canada’s Guest of Honour appearance at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2020/2021.
