Born in 1928 into a Jewish family of printers, the granddaughter of the foreign minister of Sweden’s first social democratic government Gunilla Palmstierna-Weiss experienced the upheavals of the 20th century firsthand. She cultivated a creative community with her husband Peter Weiss, was a well-known ceramist, and worked as a theater and opera designer with renowned international directors. Her autobiography discusses the people on her life’s journey.
