Poet, artist, and philosophy lecturer Daniela Catrileo has been committed to Mapuche rights for years as a member of the feminist collective »Rangiñtulewfü«. Together with Toni Jensen, who belongs to the Métis and published a volume of memoir essays on indigenous women’s lives in 2020, she sheds light on the function of literature in communicating different cultural identities, globalization as a history of violence, and conflicts that arise from neocolonial power structures.
