born 1975 in Be’er Sheva, is a writer and philosopher. He has taught at the Department of Philosophy at Tel Aviv University and conducted postdoc research at Columbia University. He was awarded the Wingate Literary Prize, the Wizo prize, the Ramat Gan Prize, the Agnon Prize and was shortlisted for the Sapir Prize for several novels of his, including his novel »The Slaughterman’s Daughter« which was translated to 18 languages. Iczkovits lives and works in Tel Aviv.
