Wladimir Romanowskij

born in 1941 in a Stalinist gulag in Talon, trained as an engineer, he worked for over forty years as a research associate at the Institute of Radio Technology in Minsk. Since the end of the Soviet Union, he has conducted research, documentation and memory work on the history of Belarusian society under the Stalinist terror. As a member of the United Civil Party of Belarus (UCPB) he presided over the party commission for the rehabilitation of victims of Stalinist repression.
