Tobias Singelnstein

Tobias Singelnstein, born 1977 in Berlin, is a lawyer and author. He studied law with a specialization in criminology, juvenile criminal law, and penal system at the Free University of Berlin. From 2017 to 2022, he was Professor of Criminology at Ruhr University Bochum and then moved to the Department of Law at Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. He is co-editor of various specialist journals and co-author of the non-fiction book »Die Polizei: Helfer, Gegner, Staatsgewalt. Inspektion einer mächtigen Organisation« (2022; tr: The Police: Helpers, Opponents, State Power: An Examination of a Powerful Organization).
