He studied English literature, received his doctorate on the work of Percy Bysshe Shelley and has taught at various US universities, notably at Rice University since 2012. He has collaborated with Björk and Laurie Anderson, and Jeff Bridges, among others. He is the author of 16 books and essays on philosophy, ecology, literature, music, art, architecture, design and food. Morton’s work has been translated into 10 languages.
