Sol Undurraga, also known as Mujer Gallina, was born in 1981 in Chile. She is an author and illustrator of children’s books, artist, graphic activist and performance artist. After studying architecture, she dedicated herself to illustration and storytelling, often incorporating social activist themes. Her books have been awarded at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, in South Korea, Chile, Portugal, Mexico and at the International Youth Library in Munich. Her books have been translated into several languages. Sol Undurraga lives in Berlin in a collective and self-managed project with her son Teo.
