Sivan Ben Yishai

grew up in Jerusalem and studied scenic writing and theater directing in Tel-Aviv, where she made her start as a director. She has been living in Berlin for six years, writing about war in peace, cappuccino and tear gas, daddies whose time is up, and generally about the homely man and what he is capable of. Her plays have been shown at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin and Theater Lübeck, among others, and her texts are published by Suhrkamp.
