Thrastardóttir’s first collection of poems »Blálogaland« (tr. The land of blue flames) appeared in 1999. Since then she has published numerous volumes of poetry, theater plays and the novel »Sólar saga« (tr. The story of Sól), which won the Tómas Guðmundsson Literary Award in 2002.
