was born in 1983 in the city of Shenyang, China. He has written seven volumes of fiction for which he has won several literary awards in China, including the Wang Zengqi Short Story Prize, and the Blancpain-Imaginist Award for the best Chinese writer under forty-five. His short fiction has appeared in the New Yorker, Granta, Astra Magazine and Brick. Metropolitan Books/Henry Holt published a collection of three novellas, »Rouge Street«, in English in 2022. Granta Magazine Editions published »Hunter«, his award-winning short story collection in 2025. His work has been adapted for both television and film. He lives in Beijing.
