She was editor-in-chief of the ARTE magazine until 2019. Since 2021, she has been working as a cultural editor and is responsible for documentaries and new formats for the »ARTE«. Raising Sons as a Feminist], in which she describes her concerns as a mother of two sons growing up in a world characterized by gender inequality. In 2025, she published »Frauen und Revolution« [tr. Women and Revolution], documenting the global female protest of the present day and showing that women in the most adverse circumstances are no longer victims, but shapers of history. Shila Behjat lives in Berlin.
