Christoph Rüter

born in Gelsenkirchen in 1957, was a dramaturge at the Freie Volksbühne Berlin until 1989 after studying theatre, philosophy, and psychology in Munich and Berlin. The focus of his documentaries, commissioned for both television and for the cinema, is on life stories of creative personalities such as Thomas Brasch, Klaus Michael Grüber, Heiner Müller and others. He lives and works in Berlin.
