Richard David Precht

Richard David Precht was born in Solingen in 1964 and studied philosophy, German Language and Literature and Art History in Cologne. He obtained his doctorate in 1994 with a thesis on Robert Musil’s »The Man Without Qualities«. Precht worked for German magazines, newspapers and radio stations. His greatest publication success so far has been »Wer bin ich – und wenn ja, wie viele?« (2007; Eng. »Who Am I, And If So, How Many?«, 2011). Recently, the author has focused on the phenomenon of love and human ethics from the perspective of different fields of science. Precht lives in Cologne and Luxembourg.
