Christina Pareigis

born in 1970, is a literature and cultural studies scholar. She works as a teacher in Hamburg and was previously a research assistant at the Leibniz Center for Literary and Cultural Research in Berlin. Her research focuses on European Jewish literature of the 19th and 20th centuries, Yiddish literature, and literature of the Shoah. In 2004, Pareigis received the Joseph Carlebach Prize for her dissertation on Yiddish song poetry.
