Nora Amin was born in Cairo in 1970. Following her studies in French and comparative literature, she worked for nine years as an assistant at the Cairo Academy of the Arts. During this period she earned a reputation as a writer, dancer and director. She founded the performance group »La Musica« and a theatre festival and is a founding member of the Cairo Opera’s Modern Dance Company. She has written plays, choreographies, short stories, and several novels. Amin lives in Cairo.
