Natascha Freundel is an editor at rbb’s radio3 and the host of the podcast and radio debate series Der zweite Gedanke. She studied philosophy, modern German literature, and Slavic studies in Berlin and Frankfurt and previously worked as an editor at NDR Kultur in Hanover and Hamburg. As a freelance journalist, she focused on German-Jewish history and Eastern Europe. She has traveled regularly to Israel since 2004 and has reported for outlets including Haaretz. In 2015, she received a Grenzgänger fellowship from the Robert Bosch Foundation to conduct research in Ukraine. She has also been a regular moderator at the ILB for several years. Natascha Freundel lives in Berlin.
