Nalan Kirchner, born in Berlin in 2013, was one of the winners of the THEO Literature Prize in 2026 for her story “Fundstücke,” which is about small things and the people who do notice them after all. She lives in Kreuzberg with her parents, her brother, and her two dogs, where she currently attends the eighth grade. In her free time, she enjoys painting, drawing, and reading. Her favorite books are “Anne of Green Gables” by L. M. Montgomery and “Bis der Regen Feuer fängt” by Stefanie Höfler.
