Nadia Budde is a German illustrator and author of numerous children’s books and comics. She studied graphic design at the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin and at the Royal College of Art in London. Her first picture book, »Eins zwei drei Tier« (1999, »One Two Three Me«), received the German Children’s Literature Award, as did the comic biography »Such dir was aus, aber beeil dich« (2009). She has held several teaching positions, including at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and a guest professorship at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. Additionally, she has held workshops and given talks worldwide since 2002. In 2017, she was nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. Nadia Budde lives in Berlin.
