Mikhail Zygar

Mikhail Zygar is Russian born author, political journalist and historian. He authored investigative studies such as »All the Kremlin’s Men« (2016), »The Empire Must Die« (2017), and »War and Punishment. The Story of Ukrainian Resistance against Russian Empire« (2023). He was the founding editor-in-chief of Dozhd, Russia’s only independent news TV-channel, from 2010 to 2015. Currently a columnist for »SPIEGEL« and »New York Times«, he also makes a series of interviews »Empire Must Die« with »brightest minds of humanity« on his YouTube channel. In 2022, Zygar authored a petition against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, signed by prominent Russian intellectuals. In March, 2022 he organized the only interview of President Zelensky for the independent Russian media.
