Meron Mendel
Meron Mendel, born 1976 in Ramat Gan, is a publicist, historian and educator. He studied history in Haifa and Munich and completed his doctorate in 2010 at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main on » Lebenswelten jüdischer Jugendlicher in Deutschland« [tr: Daily Life of Jewish Youth in Germany]. He has been Director of the Anne Frank Educational Center since 2010 and Professor of Social Work at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences since 2021. Mendel conducts research on the topics of migration society, remembrance culture, and identity politics and, together with his wife Saba-Nur Cheema, is committed to Jewish-Muslim dialog.
