Meike Rötzer is an actress, audiobook narrator and author. She trained at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich and debuted in 1996 at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, moved to the Städtische Bühnen Kiel in 2000, and later performed independently, including at Berlin’s Sophiensæle. In 2023 she was nominated for the Deutscher Hörbuchpreis for reading Katja Petrowskaja’s «Maybe Esther: A Family Story». From 2008 to 2022 she was an editor at Matthes & Seitz Berlin; in 2022 she founded the Erzählbuchverlag. Since 2023, RBB airs her storytelling show «Richtig gutes Zeug!». Meike Rötzer lives in Berlin.
