Maya Arad Yasur, born in Israel in 1976, studied dramaturgy at the University of Amsterdam. Her plays, including »Amsterdam« (premiere 2018) about an Israeli violinist who lives in Amsterdam and receives a gas bill dating back to 1944, have been performed worldwide and won awards. Her most recent play »How to Remain a Humanist after a Massacre in 17 Steps« (premiere 2023) deals with the Hamas terror attack and its consequences. Her play »Triade« will have its German premiere in 2024.
