Markus Langer

studied Romance Languages, Politics and Economics and has worked as a freelance journalist for the »Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung« daily and the TV network WDR. He worked in public relations for Bertelsmann publishers in Gütersloh and for chemicals concern Degussa, where he introduced the new company name Evonik in 2007. He is head of brand communication for the Essen-based conglomerate, which has been the chief sponsor of the Borussia Dortmund soccer team for eight years.
