Mariana Leky

born in 1973 in Cologne, after a book trade apprenticeship she studied cultural journalism at the University of Hildesheim. Her short stories won awards even while she studied, including the Allegra Prize in 2000. The prizes for her collection of stories »Liebesperlen« (tr: Hundreds and Thousands), published in 2001, include the Literature Prize of Lower Saxony. After »Erste Hilfe« (tr: First Aid) she already published her second novel in 2010 under the title »Die Herrenausstatterin« (tr: The Gentleman’s Costume Designer).
