Yulia Marfutova

born in Moscow in 1988, studied German philology and history in Berlin and earned her doctorate in Münster. She was awarded, among others, the Berlin Senate’s work stipend, the GWK Prize for Literature, as well as scholarships of the Brecht House, the Jürgen Ponto Foundation, the master class of the Berliner Festspiele, and the Literary Colloquium Berlin. »Der Himmel vor hundert Jahren« (tr: The Sky a Hundred Years Ago) is Marfutova’s first novel. She lives in Boston.
