Mareike Krügel is a German writer who writes for both children and adults. She studied at the German Institute for Literature Leipzig and has published six novels since 2003, including »Sieh mich an« (2017) and »Alle wissen hier alles« (2024). She has received numerous grants and awards. In 2024, she was awarded the Kranichsteiner Childrend’s and Youth Literature Scholarship, and in 2026 she was nominated for the German Children’s Literature Award for »Inseltage mit Rosa«. She is a member of PEN Berlin. Mareike Krügel lives in Schleswig-Holstein.
