born 1965 in Tbilisi, studied German language and literature, Theology, Politics and History in Tbilisi, Jena, Bern, Vienna and at the Humboldt-Universität Berlin. The topic of his doctorate was German-Georgian relations during the First World War. He has written for various Georgian media since the beginning of the 1990s. Until recently, he worked at the Georgian National Film Center. Since April 2010, he has worked as the director of the Giorgi Leonidze State Museum of Georgian Literature.
