Klaus Völker

Klaus Völker

born in Frankfurt/Main in 1938. Klaus Völker studied in Frankfurt and Berlin, and has been Chief Dramaturge at theatres in Zurich, Basel, Bremen and Schiller Theater Berlin. In 1992 he was appointed Professor for Theatre History and Dramaturgy at the Ernst Busch Academy for Dramatic Art, whose Rector he was from 1993 to 2005. Völker is a member of the Berlin Academy of the Arts and the German Academy of Performing Arts. He lives in Berlin.
