Kimia Bani

Kimia Bani, born in Tehran, is a Percussion player and accomplished musician, poet, and performer. Having obtained a Bachelor’s in Theatre, Drama, and Performing Arts, she turned her attention to music and cultural diversity in education, earning a Master’s in World Music. Her professional career spans over 15 years, and she has played with musicians globally. Bani’s dedication to uniting cultures through music has led her to work with various music groups, fostering connections between Eastern and Western bands, feminist groups, and gender minority bands. As an independent artist, she collaborates on film and television projects, composing and producing fusion music. Bani received a scholarship from the Tamburi Mundi Frame Drum Academy and was the proud winner of the Tamburi Mundi Frame Drum Award in 2021.
