Katie Kitamura is a writer. Her novel «Audition» was a finalist for the Booker Prize and one of Barack Obama’s Favorite Books of 2025. Her previous novel «Intimacies» was named one of «The New York Times»’s 10 Best Books of 2021 and was longlisted for the National Book Award. Kitamura has received, among others, a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Rome Prize in Literature and the Berlin Prize. Her work has been translated into 29 languages and is being adapted for film. She teaches in the Creative Writing Program at New York University and lives in New York.
