John Prendergast
John Prendergast lives in Washington. For several years he has worked in Africa with human rights organisations. He was special advisor to the U. S. State Department on conflict resolution and served as director of African Affairs at the National Security Council. Prendergast is the author of numerous books on Africa, and is currently working as special advisor for the International Crisis Group, for which he visited Sudan in July 2004. ‘Not on Our Watch: The Mission to End Genocide in Darfur and Beyond’ (2007), his current study about Sudan, was written together with Don Cheadle.
