Biography
born in 1991 and grew up in London. According to Granta, she is one of the »Best Young Novelists under 40«. Her debut novel »The Parisian« received the Betty Trask Award and the Palestine Book Award and has been translated into 16 languages. Her second novel »Enter Ghost«, about a Palestinian production of Hamlet in the West Bank, also received wide acclaim and was awarded, among others, the Encore Award and the Aspen Words Literary Prize. Hammad combines precise storytelling with deep political resonance.
