Ingo Niermann

born in 1969, studied philosophy and now resides in Basel after previously living in Bielefeld, Berlin, London, and New York. His debut novel »Der Effekt« (tr. The effect) was published in 2001. From his essay »Umbauland« (2006, tr. Land in Renovation) arose the speculative English-language book series »Solutions«, whose most recent book »Complete Love« was published in 2016. Since 2013, Niermann has directed the digital publishing project »Fiktion«, together with Mathias Gatza and in cooperation with the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
