Ilma Rakusa

born 1946 in Slovakian Rimavská Sobota, she studied Slavik and Romance languages in Zurich, Paris and St. Petersburg. In 1971 she wrote her dissertation on the theme of loneliness in Russian literature and worked as an assistant at the Slavonic Institute of Universität Zürich. Since 1977 she is assistant professor at the same university and works as a freelance writer, translator and publicist.
