Hernán D. Caro is an author, moderator, and journalist. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, he pursued his PhD in Philosophy at the Humboldt University of Berlin, writing his doctoral dissertation on Leibniz’ philosophical optimism. Since 2012, he has been contributing to the feuilleton of the »Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung«. He also wrote for other prestigious outlets such as »ZEIT-Magazin«, »ARTE Magazin«, and »der Freitag«. He currently works organising and moderating literary events, as a freelance author of the feuilleton for the Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung, and as editor of the Goethe-Institut’s Humboldt-Magazin. Caro lives in Berlin.
