Hermann Parzinger

born in 1959, is one of the leading prehistorians of our time and among the world’s most renowned archaeologists. He has received many national and international prizes for his global excavation and research projects in Spain, Iraq, and Siberia, to name a few locations. Since 2008, he has served as the president of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation. Prior to that, he was the president of the German Archaeological Institute and a professor at the Freie Universität Berlin.
