Haralampi G. Oroschakoff born in Sofia in 1955, emigrated with his parents to Vienna in 1961, and has been a writer, painter and illustrator in the international art industry since 1980. His work focuses on the Byzantine civilisation. He published numerous texts concerning the east west conflict and the position of the individual in a standardized society. »Die Battenberg-Affäre« (2007; tr. The Battenberg Affair) is a historical novel about his Russian family. He lives in Berlin and Southern France.
