Govind Deecee

is a commissioning editor at DC Books. Trained in Cinematic Arts and Photography, he earned a BFA in Economics from Syracuse University in New York. Before beginning his career in publishing, he worked as a cinematographer and video editor in commercial advertising. At DC Books, he is responsible for commissioning new works and overseeing translations and rights. Since 2019, he has also managed the publisher’s audiobook division. A central aspect of his role is curating the international and non-Malayalam programming for the Kerala Literature Festival, organized by DC Books. In this capacity, he and his team actively plan and deliver more than 300 events and talks for the festival.
